Embracing Our Differences Michigan is a nonprofit organization in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, Michigan that uses the power of art and education to expand consciousness and open the heart to celebrate the diversity of the human family.

To encourage community participation every year, we invite you to submit your original artwork and thoughts on the theme of diversity. The winning selections are displayed in the spring. We are currently calling for your original thoughts, ideas, quotes or slogans about diversity, inclusion, and social justice in 20 words or less.
Southeastern Michigan professional, amateur, student artists – everyone can participate.No submission or entry fee. No restriction on entering art previously submitted for competitions. Final selections will be chosen based on artistic excellence and originality in the reflection of our theme, "enriching lives through diversity and inclusion."

Become part of the change. Artists possess a powerful tool to evoke social change without uttering a single word. They can enlighten, educate and affect change around the world. Embracing Our Differences Michigan invites you to participate in creating a society where diversity is embraced and individuality is celebrated.
Docent led field trips will begin May 1, 2023 and are available at no cost.

Education Opportunities
Comprehensive, easy to use curriculum on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for each grade level is available at no cost through the generosity of the Sarasota EOD program.
Free tours and field trips will resume in the Spring.
